Identify Theft
Contact your city police department or parish sheriff’s office to report identity theft.

Law Enforcement
Complaints about your city police department or parish sheriff’s office should first be addressed to that agency’s administration or internal affairs department.
Complaints may also be addressed to Louisiana Attorney General's Office, or the FBI may conduct investigations in some circumstances.
Parish Jails
Parish jails are operated by the Sheriff’s Office. OIG does not have jurisdiction over local government agencies or officials.
The sheriff’s directory on the Louisiana Association of Sheriff’s website has a listing of administration and jail phone numbers for each parish.
PPP Small Business Loans
Covid related small business loans are federal funds that were not issued or disbursed through a state agency and are not in the jurisdiction of OIG. These complaints can be addressed to:
